Translation environment: For the translation environment you have the following options:
The translation table is displayed on the Translation tabbed page (see Section 5.8.2.1.13.1, “"Translation" tabbed page ”). The displayed terms inside the table are according to the selection in the index tree (including the related subdirectories) on the left side.
The translation table is displayed in the Translations dialog box (see Section 5.8.2.1.13.2, “"Translations" dialog window ”). The displayed terms inside the table are according to the selection in the index tree (including the related subdirectories) on the left side.
You translate outside and independent from PARTproject inside PARTcatalogTranslator (see Section 5.8.2.1.13.3, “ PARTcatalogTranslator ”).
The functions are exactly the same such as inside PARTproject.
The data exchange happens via CSV file which is exported from PARTproject and imported into PARTcatalogTranslator.
Terms which are used in NB (Standard name), NT (Standard title), LINA (Description for BOM), are automatically displayed in the translation table. If field content shall be translated, then the respective columns have to be declared under Translatable Variables.
Create a CSV file in order to do the translation outside of PARTproject in a program of your choice. See Section 5.8.2.1.13.4, “Translation per CSV file”.
Via Attribute algorithms you can access translations. On this see Section 7.8.11.2, “ Translation functions”.
The translation process is significantly efficient when using Online Translation Services. Furthermore typing errors are avoided.
The following online translation services are already preconfigured:[23]

Microsoft Translator / http://www.microsofttranslator.com
Podge - online dictionary / http://www.podge.de

IATE - EU's multilingual term base / http://iate.europa.eu
Linguee web dictionary / http://www.linguee.de
More than 50 translation languages and many language combinations are available. It is easy to overtake the suggestions and possible to modify before.
Use a number of Online Translation Services directly from PARTproject. Or export a source languages via CSV file, in order to make it available for external translators. These will import the data in PARTcatalogTranslator [24] [25]. There the same functionality is given without eCATALOGsolutions. Finally the file is exported from PARTcatalogTranslator and imported in eCATALOGsolutions at the catalog supplier again.
